Keynote Speaker - Dr. Sandy Gluckman - The Joys and Challenges of Raising a Gifted Child

The label of being gifted brings with it joy and pride, as well as added responsibility for the student, the parents and the teachers. Dr. Gluckman will speak about how being academically and intellectually exceptional can sometimes be both a blessing and a burden and what this can mean for both the child and the parents. One of the things you will discover is the hugely important difference between real self-esteem versus academic-esteem and why gifted children need both.
